Khaberni - The Media Office of the Sharjah Government, announced that the relevant authorities are monitoring the power outage that affected some areas of the emirate this afternoon, due to an emergency technical malfunction.
The Office confirmed that work is currently being carried out to address the situation and restore the service as soon as possible, with full adherence to safety procedures.
The Office added: "We appreciate your understanding, and any updates will be announced in due course."
In a subsequent clarification, the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority stated that the temporary power outage was due to a localized emergency breakdown that activated the automatic protection systems to maintain network stability.
It added: "The situation has been handled alongside the restoration of electricity to several areas until the service is sequentially restored to the affected areas after confirming the safety of operations, and we affirm our commitment to the highest standards of reliability and continuity of service."
