AlShawarbeh Starting the Installation of Cameras to Monitor Environmental Violations in AlSalt and Irbid

Khaberni - Youssef Al-Shawarbeh, the chairman of the Amman Secretariat Committee, said on Sunday that the national execution program for the cleanup strategy and the reduction of random dumping of waste for the years 20262027, "will start today with the installation of cameras in the cities of Al-Salt and Irbid" through a special electronic system for monitoring environmental violations.

He added during a press conference for the launch of the program that the launch of the electronic system "is not linked to the value of the fines but rather to addressing a behavior for managing waste," explaining that 30 cameras were delivered to the Amman Secretariat, and20 cameras were delivered to the Traffic Management, and250 cameras to the Ministry of Local Administration.

He referred to procedures to improve general cleanliness within the areas covered by the Greater Amman Municipality, among them the gradual handover of city cleaning services and waste collection and transfer services from the municipality to three private sector service providers, and the enhancement of infrastructure within the capital's boundaries.

Al-Shawarbeh emphasized that the program will continue indefinitely to maintain cleanliness.
