AlSafadi and his Egyptian counterpart warn of the dangers of Israels illegitimate actions

Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Al-Safadi and Minister of Migration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs Badr Abdel Aty discussed today ways to enhance bilateral relations, developments in the region, and the ongoing coordination and consultation between the two brotherly countries.

Al-Safadi and Abdel Aty, in a phone call on Saturday, affirmed the depth and strength of the historical brotherly relations between Jordan and Egypt, and their mutual commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation prospects in various economic, investment fields and building on existing coordination mechanisms between the two countries, serving the interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples.

Al-Safadi and Abdel Aty emphasized the necessity of adhering to the ceasefire agreement and the full implementation of its provisions according to the plan of US President Donald Trump. They stressed the importance of introducing sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid into the sector, moving towards the second phase of the agreement, and the significance of announcing the formation of a Palestinian technocrat committee to manage the sector, deploying an international stabilization force, and creating the necessary conditions for early recovery and reconstruction. They also insisted on maintaining the territorial integrity of Palestine between the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and linking stabilization efforts with a clear political horizon that achieves a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.

The ministers also warned of the dangers of Israel's illegal actions in the occupied West Bank, which propel the situation towards explosion and undermine all efforts of calming and the chances of achieving a just peace on the basis of the two-state solution as the only way to achieve security and lasting peace in the region.

The ministers discussed developments in Syria and Lebanon, confirming the importance of achieving security and stability in Syria, respecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and ensuring the safety of its citizens. They stressed the need to stop Israeli attacks on Lebanon, supporting Lebanon’s security, stability, sovereignty, and efforts in sustaining its national institutions.

Al-Safadi and Abdel Aty expressed their total rejection of Israel's declaration of recognition of the Somaliland region, and affirmed their full support for the sovereignty of the brotherly Federal Republic of Somalia and the integrity and safety of its territories as a fundamental pillar for the stability of the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea region.

The ministers also emphasized their support for all efforts aimed at achieving calm and reducing escalation in Yemen, supporting dialogue among Yemeni parties, ensuring the security and stability of Yemen and its neighbors, respecting its sovereignty, and fulfilling the aspirations of its brotherly people.
