Khaberni - The foreign ministers of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, the People's Republic of Bangladesh, the Union of the Comoros, the Republic of Djibouti, the Republic of Gambia, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the State of Kuwait, the State of Libya, the Republic of Maldives, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Sultanate of Oman, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the State of Palestine, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Federal Republic of Somalia, the Republic of Sudan, the Republic of Turkey, the Republic of Yemen, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation; reiterated their statement issued on December 27, 2025, by the foreign ministers, which rejected the Israeli recognition of the Somaliland region of the Federal Republic of Somalia;
They expressed their strong condemnation of the recent illegal visit by an Israeli official to the Somaliland region of the Federal Republic of Somalia on January 6, 2026;
They affirmed that this visit constitutes a clear violation of the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia and the unity and territorial integrity of its lands, undermining established international norms and the United Nations Charter;
They renewed their staunch support for the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia, its unity, and the integrity of its territory;
They emphasized that promoting separatist agendas is unacceptable and poses risks of exacerbating tensions in a fragile region.
They confirmed that respecting international law, non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states, and adherence to diplomatic norms are essential elements for achieving regional and international stability;
They appreciated the commitment of the Federal Republic of Somalia to peaceful international interactions, constructive diplomacy, and compliance with the provisions of international law.
They expressed their commitment to continue supporting the diplomatic and legal measures taken by the Federal Republic of Somalia to safeguard its sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity, and stability, in accordance with international law provisions;
They stressed the need for Israel to fully respect the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia, its national unity, and territorial integrity, to fulfill its obligations according to international law, and demanded the immediate withdrawal of recognition issued by Israel.
