Khaberni - Fawzi Hammouri, the president of the Private Hospitals Association, appreciated Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya's announcement of new measures aimed at facilitating the residence of foreigners in the kingdom, which will contribute to boosting the national economy and streamlining entry and residency procedures.
Hammouri, according to a statement from the association, praised the decision to grant three months of temporary residence to foreigners entering the kingdom through border centers, instead of just one month, confirming that this step directly supports not only the medical tourism sector but also tourism in general.
He explained that these measures encourage inbound patients and tourists to come to the kingdom and spend longer periods, allowing them complete treatment and medical follow-up in Jordanian hospitals without administrative obstacles. This enhances patient safety before they return to their countries and elevates Jordan as a leading destination for medical tourism in the region.
He noted that these measures were part of the ongoing collaboration and communication between the Private Hospitals Association and the Interior Ministry, aimed at overcoming obstacles faced by inbound patients and enhancing an attractive environment for medical tourism in Jordan. The association had submitted a request to the Interior Minister about two months ago, which was met with a positive and swift response, underscoring the government's commitment to enhancing coordination with the private sector.
