Phosphate and Potash launch a 10 million dinar initiative to support government efforts

Khaberni - The Jordan Phosphate Mines Company and the Arab Potash Company announced the launch of a quality initiative within their community responsibility scope, allocating an amount of 10 million dinars equally between the two companies. This confirms their commitment to their national and developmental roles, and supports the governmental efforts in facing urgent challenges and enhancing the comprehensive development journey in various provinces of the Kingdom.
Dr. Mohammad Al-Dhneibat, the chairman of the board of the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company, praised the government's decision and the directives of the Prime Minister, allocating an amount of 10 million dinars from the emergency expenditure item to support and enhance the infrastructure level in the provinces, especially those affected by recent weather conditions, confirming that this decision reflects the government's keenness on protecting citizens, improving service levels, and dealing with the consequences of exceptional weather conditions efficiently and responsibly.
In this context, Al-Dhneibat announced that the board of directors of Jordan Phosphate Mines Company decided to allocate 5 million dinars to contribute to national efforts during emergencies, including exceptional weather conditions, as part of the institutional approach to community responsibility adopted by the company as an integral part of its corporate strategy.
He confirmed that the company continues to leverage its technical and logistical capabilities and equipment at various work sites, placing them at the disposal of administrative governors in the Kingdom's provinces, to support rapid response efforts and enhance the effectiveness of interventions during the winter season, ensuring quick remediation and mitigating the effects of any emergencies.
Al-Dhneibat indicated that Jordan Phosphate Mines Company continues to play its developmental and social role by supporting national efforts to reduce unemployment, by providing sustainable job opportunities, especially for residents of areas surrounding its work sites, in addition to its contributions to supporting education, health, and infrastructure sectors through developmental projects with long-lasting impacts.
He stressed that the integrated partnership between the government and the private sector forms a fundamental pillar for enhancing national capacity to face challenges, ensuring the continuity of development, and safeguarding national achievements, which enhances citizens' confidence in national institutions and embodies the values of solidarity and shared responsibility.
Al-Dhneibat called on national private sector companies to follow the example of Jordan Phosphate Mines and Arab Potash companies, and to launch similar initiatives as part of social responsibility, actively contributing to supporting government efforts during emergencies, thus reinforcing national solidarity and embodying the true partnership between the public and private sectors.
On his part, Shuhada Abu Hdaib, the chairman of the board of Arab Potash Company, affirmed that the initiative of both Arab Potash and Jordan Phosphate Mines comes from a deep belief in the role of large national companies as true partners in the journey of construction and development, and their responsibility to stand by the state in exceptional circumstances, explaining that community responsibility is no longer an option but a national obligation reflecting the robustness of the national economy and its ability to show solidarity and teamwork in facing challenges, contributing to the protection of national gains and enhancing citizen confidence in national economic institutions.
He emphasized the importance of private sector response in the Kingdom to such national initiatives, supporting government efforts to deal with emergencies and enhance the resilience of infrastructure, affirming that the cooperation between the public and private sectors forms a fundamental element in facing challenges and achieving sustainable development.
Abu Hdaib explained that Arab Potash Company has prepared an operations room operating around the clock to deal with these conditions, providing the necessary technical assistance, through leveraging its qualified human resources and all the company's capabilities and placing them at the government's disposal, to support rapid response efforts and handle any emergencies.
He also mentioned that Arab Potash Company has contributed 5 million dinars to support the government's efforts in carrying out repair work imposed by the weather conditions, and contributing to addressing damages and enhancing the readiness of infrastructure across various regions of the Kingdom.
Abu Hdaib praised the government's efforts and its quick response by allocating 10 million dinars to face these conditions, affirming that this decision reflects the government's keenness on protecting citizens and accelerating the pace of addressing damages resulting from exceptional weather conditions.
The meeting, which was held at Jordan Phosphate Mines Company to announce the initiative, was attended by Eng. Abdel Wahab Al-Rawad, CEO of Phosphate Company, and Khalid Al-Fanatseh, president of the General Union of Jordanian Workers Unions.
