Khaberni - Within the celebrations of Petra University for the birthday of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, the Dean of Student Affairs and the Sports Committee at the university organized a friendly football match, gathering the team of Petra University and the Royal Hashemite Court team, which ended with the victory of the Royal Hashemite Court team with a score of (2–1).
The match was held under the patronage of the president of Petra University, Professor Dr. Rami Abdel Rahim, with the presence of a delegation from the Royal Hashemite Court, as well as several sports personalities, alongside deans of colleges and directors of departments at the university, and with notable participation and attendance from the students of Petra University.
The atmosphere of the match reflected a positive spirit, and emphasized the importance of sports in enhancing communication between the youth and national institutions, and in embodying royal interest in sports and youth, and supporting activities that contribute to human development and enhance national values.
At the end of the match, the president of the university handed over the first place trophy to the team of the Royal Hashemite Court, received by the team captain Captain Mohammed Al-Manaseer, while the second place trophy was handed to the captain of the Petra University team, Professor Dr. Eyad Al-Mallah, and a tribute was paid to Sohaib Haddad from the Royal Hashemite Court team with the best player of the match award.
