Khaberni - Violinist Brian King Joseph has filed a lawsuit against global star Will Smith, accusing him of sexual harassment, retaliation, and arbitrary dismissal from Smith's world tour last year associated with his musical album «Based on a True Story».
Decision of Exclusion
Joseph said, «I was excluded from the world tour after reporting a disturbing incident that occurred in my hotel room, during the Las Vegas stop of the tour».
According to the complaint, Joseph stated that an unknown person entered his hotel room without his permission, leaving behind belongings he described as «disturbing», including a handwritten note.
He confirmed feeling a direct threat to his safety, which prompted him to report to the hotel security and police, in addition to Will Smith's management. Shortly after filing the reports, he was surprised to be excluded from the tour, replaced by another violinist, considering the decision to be a direct reaction to his raising concerns, and not for artistic or organizational reasons.
The lawsuit alleges that this dismissal caused him psychological, professional harm, and financial losses, and claims there was a broader pattern of inappropriate behavior before the tour started.

On his part, Will Smith has categorically denied all these accusations through his legal team, describing the claims as baseless, and affirming his determination to defend himself vigorously and firmly before the court. So far, the case is still in its early stages, with no verdicts or judicial decisions issued yet.
