Khaberni - Student Maisar Bassam Hassan Mazhar from the Digital Media and Graphic Design Department at the College of Architecture and Design at Amman Al-Ahliya University achieved a significant academic achievement by obtaining second place in the 2025 Arab StarPack Student competition, with her project: "Redesigning Packaging for Mazayoon Boutique Brand" in the Structural Packaging category.
The Arab StarPack competition is considered one of the most prominent Arab competitions specialized in the field of packaging, aimed at university students in the Arab world.
This year's edition witnessed the participation of 255 contestants from various Arab countries, including 111 students from Jordanian universities, where seven design projects in the field of packaging were selected at the level of Jordan.
This distinction came through a project carried out under the Packaging Design course supervised by Dr. Faten Al-Jazzar. The project is considered a practical application of design and development skills in the field of packaging, focusing on enhancing the quality of the user experience and the initial impression of the product, as well as enhancing visual identity, alongside developing the packaging structure to balance aesthetics, functionality, and usability.
These participations align with the university and the college's direction in supporting applied learning and encouraging students to participate in specialized creative competitions as they are standard assessment environments that develop design thinking, enhance students' readiness for the job market, and bolster the creation of a competitive regional and international portfolio.
