Khaberni - Petra University launched a comprehensive electronic system to follow up on its graduates, aiming to enhance digital transformation and expand communication bridges with university members both inside and outside Jordan. The platform gathers all the university's graduates since its establishment and allows them to update their professional data, view job opportunities, and interact interdepartmentally according to their colleges and departments.
Petra University president, Professor Doctor Rami Abdel Rahim, stated that the launch of the portal embodies the university's commitment to a sustainable relationship with its graduates that extends beyond their study period, adding that the initiative is part of the strategic vision to build an integrated academic and professional community that enhances the role of the graduates as ambassadors for the university and partners in national development.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Doctor Eyad Al-Mallah, explained that the system includes nearly thirty thousand graduates, and provides statistical reports about employment rates within their majors and entrepreneurs. Al-Mallah pointed to future plans for the development of an electronic resume compatible with international standards (ATS) in both Arabic and English, to enhance the graduates' readiness to compete in the job market.
The system's design supervisor, Doctor Jamal Zarraqo from the College of Information Technology, clarified that the portal includes a digital professional profile, a communication network, and a job database. Zarraqo confirmed that the system was designed according to the highest standards of user experience and data security, to connect experienced graduates with new students through professional mentoring programs.
