Snake Skin
الكاتب: مجدي محمد محيلان

It's delightful to see our sports clubs spread throughout the kingdom, fulfilling the needs of our youth and unleashing their energy and creativity, not to mention reducing many social issues and emerging problems, etc....

But I wonder?! Have these clubs managed to achieve what has been previously stated? If the answer is no, then why do they exist? And if yes, how is that possible when most players in our sports teams, especially in football, are from outside the area, sometimes even from outside the kingdom or the continent.

Who do these clubs spend on? Whose interest do they serve? And how do we deny a local the chance to play in his city’s or country's club, bringing professionals from abroad instead to elevate the club’s name and compete with others. For instance, how many players from Ma'an represent the club? And the same goes for Salt and Sarhan. If a youth from the aforementioned regions wants to represent his team, is he given the chance, or is there an African player superior to him hence more deserving of the spot?!
Our football teams resemble snake skin which continually changes, as players are like kittens (moving from one place to another), and the one you see playing in team (S) in the first half, you find him playing in team (P) in the return half.
Here I ask, how can a team change most of its players and then bring in others altogether, is this acceptable?

May God bless the old days when a player started as a junior in his mother club and twenty years later he retired while still in the same team.
I support the player and the team that seek their own benefit and development, but I am not in favor of the frequent changes whether in players, coaches, or even administrators; because such instability negatively affects everyone.
And rightly said: Nothing scratches your skin like your own nail.
I follow a path that others see differently, for each man in his endeavors finds his own way.
