Hassan Mourns Abu Ragheb Jordan Lost One of Its Loyal Men

Khaberni - Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan expressed his sorrow and sadness for the passing of one of Jordan's prominent men, the former Prime Minister Engineer Ali Abu Ragheb, who passed into the mercy of God Almighty on this Sunday, after a life filled with contributions to the service of his nation and its Hashemite leadership in various positions of responsibility.
The Prime Minister conveyed his condolences and sympathy for the departure of Engineer Abu Ragheb, affirming that Jordan has lost with his departure one of its loyal men who served the country with dedication and devotion over several decades.
The deceased Abu Ragheb held the position of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense between the years 2000 and 2003.
He also held several ministerial positions, serving as Minister of Industry and Trade and Minister of Supply in 1991 and as Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources from 1991 to 1993 and Minister of Industry and Trade from 1995 to 1997, and was a member of both the Senate and House of Representatives, head of the Contractors Syndicate, and chairman of the committee assigned to establish the special economic zone in Aqaba city.
Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan extended his deepest condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased and his relatives, asking the Almighty God to envelop him in His vast mercy and pleasure.
The deceased Abu Ragheb was born in Amman in 1946 and was awarded the First Class Order of the Star and the First Class Order of the Renaissance.
