Khaberni - The official newspaper in Egypt today, Sunday, published a decision by the Minister of Interior to expel a Jordanian citizen for security reasons and reasons related to the public good.
The decision stated that it was decided to expel (A.Y) - a Jordanian citizen - born on (2000/11/30) from the country, after "reviewing the memo from the General Administration of Passports, Immigration, and Nationality dated 2025 /11/22 regarding the request to expel a Jordanian citizen from the country for reasons related to the public good", and also after reviewing Law No. 89 of the year 1960 concerning the entry, residence, and exit of foreigners in the Arab Republic of Egypt and its amendments.
The official newspaper also published decisions regarding the requests of some individuals to naturalize with foreign nationalities while retaining their Egyptian nationality, totaling 63 citizens.
The decision permits the citizens listed in the decision to naturalize with the foreign nationality shown next to each name, while retaining their Egyptian nationality.
Egyptian nationality law states that "an Egyptian may not naturalize with a foreign nationality unless they obtain permission to do so issued by a decision from the Minister of Interior, otherwise they remain considered Egyptian in all respects and under all circumstances unless the Council of Ministers decides to revoke the nationality according to the provision of Article 16 of this law."
