Khaberni - Signed by the Jordanian Armed Forces – The Arab Army/Royal Engineering Corps Directorate and Arab Potash Company, a new agreement to extend and expand the existing cooperation between the two sides in the field of mine clearance from the southern concession area of the company, through increasing the intended area to be cleared by an additional four square kilometers, bringing the total area to 28 square kilometers, with adjustments to the total value of the agreement to suit the new expansion.
The new agreement was signed under the patronage of the Chief of the Joint Staff, Major General Yousef Al-Huneiti, and the Chairman of the Board of Arab Potash Company, Engineer Shuhada Abu Hudaib. Under the agreement, the specialized clearance teams from the Royal Engineering Corps will continue to perform full land surveying and clearance of mines from the added area, according to the highest international standards adopted in this field.
This agreement embodies a distinguished national model of cooperation between the Jordanian Armed Forces and the Arab Potash Company, based on mutual trust and benefiting from specialized military expertise in the Royal Engineering Corps to support the developmental vision of the Arab Potash Company, in line with public safety policies and comprehensive national development plans.
