Khaberni – In a step that reflects its commitment to social responsibility and support for human integration issues, the National Arab Motors Company - Kia Jordan organized a distinctive awareness event on the occasion of World Autism Day, aimed at enhancing community awareness of the autism spectrum and highlighting the needs of children and their families.
The event featured an interactive dialogue session facilitated by media personality Ibrahim Jikat, with participation from several experts and parents, including Sara Maghrebi, a mother of a child on the autism spectrum and a parent coach; and Wissam Taybeh, an actor and father of a child on the spectrum; along with Dr. Aya Al-Jazi, a speech and language specialist, and Marah Al-Sharman, an occupational therapy specialist.
The session presented a rich mix of real-life human experiences and specialized professional expertise, allowing attendees to gain a deeper understanding of the daily challenges faced by children on the autism spectrum and their families, and practical ways to enhance their integration into society.
Participants emphasized during the discussion the importance of raising community awareness about the autism spectrum, and the need to provide inclusive educational and social environments that offer children equal opportunities for learning, development, and active participation. The event also saw notable interaction from the audience who engaged with their questions and experiences in an open dialogue reflecting the growing community interest in this issue.
