Khaberni - The Turkish authorities arrested the model Busa Eskendroglu, winner of Miss Turkey 2016, alongside the famous rapper Ege Kartashli known artistically as "Ege," in an extensive investigation conducted by the Istanbul Republic Prosecutor’s Office regarding drug-related cases.
The early hours of today saw a security operation targeting Busa Eskendroglu and Ege, as part of a broad campaign started by the Turkish authorities involving celebrities from the art world, social media influencers, and businessmen.
These arrests are part of a series of consecutive security operations that have taken place in the country over the last few days.
The investigations revealed a close connection linking Busa Eskendroglu with another individual wanted for justice, where it was found that the model has a strong friendship with Sheval Shahin, who is issued an arrest warrant in the same case, Sheval Shahin had previously stated her intention to return to Turkey, but has not yet fulfilled her promise.
The Istanbul Prosecutor's Office continues the investigations in this case, which is expanding day by day, where information indicates the likelihood of continuing security operations and arresting more involved parties.
The authorities are focusing their efforts on dismantling drug trafficking networks suspected to involve public figures.
