After years of absence BTS sweeps Billboard for the seventh time with its new song

Khaberni - The Korean group "BTS" regains its leadership in the global music scene after an absence of more than 3 years, where its new song "Swim" ranked first in the "Billboard Hot 100" list.

This achievement represents the seventh turning point in the group's career, having successfully surpassed international competitors such as Ella Langley and Olivia Dean, proving its capacity to make a strong comeback with its fifth album "Arirang".

Billboard data revealed impressive digital performance for the song, recording 15.3 million streams, and 25.8 million radio impressions, in addition to total sales reaching 154,000 copies by the end of the tracking period on March 26.

The song achieved the second place in the most-streamed songs list and 18th place on the radio, marking the highest starting positions in the group's history, while it topped the digital song sales for the 13th time in the group’s career, reflecting a shift in the strategy to reach the audience through various broadcasting channels.

The album "Arirang," which includes 14 songs, showcases the group's identity and Korean roots, focusing on universal human emotions experienced by the members over the years.

BTS member "RM" participated in writing the lyrics for "Swim," which addresses life's challenges, giving the work a touch of reality that was widely acclaimed, according to "Billboard".

This comeback places the group in a historic list that includes giants like "The Beatles" and "The Rolling Stones," where it has become one of the few to top both the songs and albums charts simultaneously since 2020, standing alongside major names like Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber.
