Specialists at the regional "Arab Weather" center reported that the latest outputs from computer simulation systems indicate significant changes in weather systems during the next week and the last days of the current year.
These transformations will benefit the eastern Mediterranean region and the Levant, heralding the return of weather fluctuations and widespread rainfall.
In detail, weather maps show a persistent high-pressure system dominating large parts of Western Europe. This high pushes cold polar air masses toward the eastern parts of the continent, allowing cold air to leak towards Turkey and the eastern Mediterranean. This will lead to the development of rainy conditions and atmospheric depressions that directly affect the Levant.
Experts anticipate that rainfall will resume, covering large areas of the Levant, with snowfall over the high mountain peaks in Syria and Lebanon.
