Khaberni - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said that the Palestinian Authority is ready to work with President Trump and the mediators and partners in order to make just and comprehensive peace according to international legitimacy decisions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Abbas stressed during a joint press conference with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, at the presidential headquarters in the city of Ramallah, on Monday, the importance of the role that Greece can play, supported by the European Union, in enhancing the chances of peace and stability in our region and the world.
Abbas emphasized the need to pressure the Israeli government to stop undermining national institutions and destroying the two-state solution through settlement expansion and settler terrorism, releasing our detained funds, stopping assaults on Christian and Islamic holy sites.
He stressed the urgent need to implement President Trump's plan, and Security Council Resolution No. (2803), by establishing a ceasefire, ensuring the immediate flow of humanitarian aid including food, medicine, and shelter materials, preventing displacement, the immediate withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces, and enabling the Palestinian government and its national security agencies to fully assume their responsibilities, alongside accelerating reconstruction efforts.
