The World Bank Jordan ranks fourth regionally and 21st globally in the Government Digital Maturity Index

The World Bank's 2025 report revealed Jordan's progress in the Government Digital Maturity Index, where it was categorized within Class (A), the highest maturity category in government digital transformation, reflecting the kingdom's development in digitizing the public sector and enhancing the efficiency of government services according to the report monitored by the kingdom.

According to the report, Jordan scored an overall grade of 91.4% on the index, positioning it 21st globally and fourth regionally, after Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the UAE, placing the kingdom among the most advanced countries in digital government practices both regionally and internationally.

At the level of detailed components, Jordan's performance showed a strong balance across the four areas measured by the index: Core Government Systems and Shared Digital Infrastructure (CGSI): at 89.3%, Provision of Public Services Online and Open Data (PSDI): at 95.2%, Digital Citizen Engagement (DCEI): at 90.1%, Government Digital Enablers (GTEI): at 91.1%.

This performance highlights Jordan's success in developing digital government services and expanding their accessibility online, in addition to enhancing digital engagement channels for citizens, building supporting institutional and regulatory frameworks for digital transformation, including national strategies, legislation, development of digital skills, support for innovation, and startups.

This progress is seen as a supporting factor to the attractiveness of the Jordanian economy, the improvement of public spending efficiency, and enhancement of transparency, in addition to its role in improving the business and investment environment, at a time when economies globally are leveraging digital government as a key tool for administrative reform and sustainable economic development.
