For Sustenance and Facilitation Prayer at the Beginning of Rajab Month

Rajab is one of the sacred months, thus it holds a significant position among Muslims based on the saying of the Almighty: «Indeed, the number of months in the sight of Allah is twelve in the Book of Allah from the day He created the heavens and the earth; four of these are sacred»; hence the search interest for the prayer of the first of Rajab has increased.

The Egyptian Dar al-Ifta has announced the confirmed sighting of the Rajab crescent for the year 1447 Hijri, following the sighting of the crescent legally after the sunset on Saturday, and therefore, tomorrow, Sunday, December 21, 2025, is the first day of the month of Rajab 1447 H.

Prayers of Rajab Month

It is narrated from the Prophet, peace be upon him, that he used to say at the entrance of Rajab: «O Allah, bless us in Rajab and Sha'ban, and let us reach Ramadan».

«Oh Allah, I seek refuge with You from worry and grief, from incapacity and laziness, from cowardice and stinginess, and from the overpowering of debt and the oppression of men».

«Oh Allah, wash away my sins with the water of snow and cold, and purify my heart from sins as you purify the white clothes from dirt».

«Oh Allah, suffice me with Your lawful against Your prohibited, and enrich me by Your grace over anyone else».

«Oh Allah, if my provision is in the sky, bring it down, and if it is in the earth, bring it forth, and if it is distant, make it close, and if it is little, increase it, and if it is much, bless it for me».

«O Remover of stumbling blocks, O He who fulfills needs, fulfill my need, relieve my distress and grant me sustenance from where I expect not».

Among the accepted prayers of Rajab: «O He whom I hope for all goodness, and am safe from His wrath at every trouble, O He who gives plenty with little, O He who gives to him who asks Him, O He who gives to him who does not ask Him and does not know Him, out of His affection and mercy, grant me by my plea to You all the good of this world, and all the good of the hereafter, and keep away from me by my plea to You all the evil of this world and the hereafter, for the gift which You provide is never diminished, and increase me from Your bounty, O Generous One».

Prayer of Rajab for the relief of worry and distress: «O Allah, I seek refuge with You from worry and sorrow, and I seek refuge with You from incapacity and laziness, and I seek refuge with You from cowardice and stinginess, and I seek refuge with You from the overpowering of debt and the oppression of men.»

«O Allah, I seek refuge with You from laziness and senility, from sins and debts, and from the trial of the grave and the punishment of the grave, and from the trial of the Fire and the punishment of the Fire, and from the evil of the trial of wealth, and I seek refuge with You from the trial of poverty, and I seek refuge with You from the trial of the Antichrist. O Allah, wash away my sins with the water of snow and cold, purify my heart from sins as You purify the white clothes from dirt, and distance me from my sins as You distanced the east from the west».

« O Allah, O Lord, O Living, O Sustaining, O Majestic and Honorable, I ask You by Your greatest name to provide me with ample lawful good sustenance, by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful, O Allah, provide us with lawful good sustenance blessed in it as You love and approve, O Lord of the Worlds. Allah is sufficient for us; He will give us from His bounty. We are desirous towards Allah».

«O Allah, if my provision is in the sky, bring it down, and if it is in the earth, bring it out, and if it is far, bring it near, and if it is near, make it easy, and if it is little, increase it, and if it is much, bless it for me».

«O Remover of stumbling blocks, O Fulfiller of needs, fulfill my need, relieve my distress, and provide for me from where I do not expect».

«O Allah, provide me with ample lawful good sustenance effortlessly, and respond to my prayer without refusal, and I seek refuge with You from poverty and debt. O Allah, O Provider to the requesters, O Merciful to the destitute, O Strong and Mighty, O Best of helpers, O Guardian of the believers, O Reliever of the distressed, it is You we worship and from You we seek help».

«O Allah, remove all calamity from me, O Knower of all hidden things, O Turner away of all afflictions, help me, I pray to You the prayer of one with intense need whose strength is weakened, and whose means are reduced, the prayer of a drowning desperate person. O Allah, have mercy on me, relieve me, be kind to me, and rescue me with Your salvation, O Allah, my refuge».

«O Allah, O easer of hardship, O softener of iron, O fulfiller of threats, O He who is in a new state every day, extract me from the grip of constriction to the widest of ways, with You I fend off what I cannot endure, there is no power and no strength except through Allah the High, the Supreme..

Lord, do not block my supplication, nor reject my request, nor leave me in my sorrow, nor entrust me to my own resources and strength, and have mercy on my incapacity for my chest has narrowed, my thought has wandered, and I am confused in my affair, and You are the Knower, exalted are You, of my secret and my public, the Sovereign of my benefit and harm, capable of easing my distress and facilitating my hardship..

O Allah, affirm me at the questioning of the angels, O Allah, make my grave a garden from the gardens of Paradise and not a pit from the pits of Fire, O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the trials of this life».
