Khaberni - American actor James Ranson, who portrayed the character "Ziggy Sobotka" in the famous HBO series The Wire, passed away at the age of 46, according to what was confirmed by the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office.
According to international media, the coroner's office noted in its official records that the cause of death was suicide by hanging in a warehouse in an area of Los Angeles, on December 19 (December) of this month.
Ranson was famous for his remarkable role in the second season of the series "The Wire" in 2003, where he played "Ziggy Sobotka", a role that marked a turning point in his artistic career and established his name among American drama audiences.

A number of his colleagues in the art scene mourned the late actor with moving words, including American director Spike Lee, who wrote on his Instagram account: "Rest in peace dear brother James Ranson" recalling their collaboration in several film projects.
Ranson had previously spoken openly in interviews about his personal battles with addiction and mental disorders, noting that art and acting were for him a means of expression and emotional release, despite the psychological burdens associated with some of his roles.
