The National Bureau for the Defense of Land and Resisting Settlement stated that the American administration is colluding with the occupation government, and turning a blind eye to its continuous settlement plans, considering this stance as political cover for the escalation of settlement.
The Bureau added in its periodic report, today Saturday, that the policy of President Donald Trump's administration leaves no room for ambiguity that it encourages settlement and "terrorism" by the settlers, adopting the occupation's narrative and policies at the expense of the rights and interests of Palestinians.
The report pointed out that the American administration did not stop at canceling all the sanctions imposed by the previous administration on settlers and settlement entities, a move that has encouraged the spread of settler violence on a larger scale across the West Bank, but it is colluding with the Israeli government in its settlement projects and continues to turn a blind eye to practices and policies occurring on the ground at times in the Palestinian territories occupied after the June 1967 aggression and at other times within the United States itself.
The report highlighted three recent indicators clarifying the truth of American policy and its encouragement of settlement policy and settler practices. The first involves the claim by the US Ambassador to Israel, "Mike Huckabee", last week that building 19 new settlements in the West Bank "is not a violation of the law as it is in Area 'C'", and Huckabee stated in a post on the "X" platform: "There's no need for any reaction towards Israel allowing the establishment of 19 settlements, this isn't annexation or a declaration of sovereignty. They've issued 35 permits since President Donald Trump took office on January 20 this year, all of them in Area (C) - none of them in the areas of the Authority and this does not constitute a violation of the law."
The second, a visit made by a delegation consisting of about a thousand "American Evangelical pastors" to an archaeological site adjacent to the "Shilo" settlement in an event that carried political messages and direct support for the settlers' demands to impose Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank.
During the main gathering at the site, Pastor Mike Evans addressed the participants, urging them to show strong support in front of the cameras, and said: "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked for a picture, and we will give him the picture he wants", while waving the Torah and addressing Vice President Vance: "This is not your policy or mine, this is the word of the Lord; the West Bank is the land of the Holy Book, do not pressure...
