Death of a Sixth Grade Student During the Morning Assembly at an Egyptian School

Khaberni - A tragic incident occurred at a school in the Monufia Governorate, after a sixth-grade elementary student passed away due to a sudden health issue during the morning assembly inside the school, causing shock among her peers and the teaching staff.

According to local media reports from Mohamed Salah, the Deputy Minister of Education in Monufia Governorate, the student suddenly fainted while standing in the morning assembly line, where she was preparing to deliver a speech for the school broadcast.

He noted that the student did not respond when called upon, before collapsing in front of her classmates, and was immediately dealt with and quickly transported to the nearby health unit in an attempt to provide first aid.

The Deputy Minister of Education in Monufia added that the student died inside the health unit while her family was present, despite medical attempts to save her, noting that she had been suffering from previous health issues, including increased brain electricity, and had experienced repeated fainting episodes in the past both inside and outside the school.

Mohamed Salah strongly denied the rumors circulated on social media about the student falling from the fifth floor inside the school, asserting that these stories are untrue and unrelated to the incident.

He stated that all legal and medical procedures were followed after the incident, with full coordination with the relevant authorities, pointing out that necessary support was provided to the school's administration and the students given the psychological state caused by the incident.
