Trump Declares Fentanyl a Weapon of Mass Destruction

Khaberni - U.S. President Donald Trump signed a decree that stipulates considering the drug fentanyl as a "weapon of mass destruction".

Trump said to the reporters at the White House, while signing the decree on Monday: "Today I am taking another step to protect Americans from the deadly fentanyl that is spreading in our country".

He added: "With this historic decree I am signing today, we will consider fentanyl a weapon of mass destruction, which it indeed is."

It is noted that U.S. President Donald Trump has repeatedly spoken about the dangers of the influx of fentanyl into the United States, considering it one of the biggest challenges to the country. He justified imposing tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China, accusing the latter of not making sufficient efforts to stop its production on their soil.
