Khaberni - The American news site Axios revealed that the White House sent a strongly worded message to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemning the killing of the leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Raed Saad.
Axios -citing US officials- reported that President Donald Trump's administration considered the "assassination of Hamas leader Raed Saad a violation of the ceasefire agreement" and confirmed that "the Israeli government did not notify or consult Washington before the assassination of Hamas leader Raed Saad."
Axios also quoted an Israeli official saying that "the White House expressed its displeasure with the assassination of leader Raed Saad, but its message was less severe."
The site claimed that the US administration is frustrated with Netanyahu, who is accused of committing war crimes in Gaza and is wanted by the International Criminal Court, with figures such as Secretary of State Marco Rubio, US envoy to the region Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner "extremely frustrated with Netanyahu," according to Axios.
It quoted US officials saying that "Netanyahu has turned into an international pariah over the past two years," indicating that "regional leaders do not trust Netanyahu and have broad objections to any engagement with him."
These leaks came before an expected visit by Netanyahu to the United States, where he will meet Trump in Florida on December 29th.
Lapid Criticizes Netanyahu
On the other hand, the Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid affirmed that Netanyahu "has become a stain on Israel around the world."
Lapid made these criticisms after the Knesset speaker Amir Ohana earlier today, Monday, accompanied the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Paraguay, Raúl Latorre, to the Central Court in Tel Aviv to meet Netanyahu who is on trial for corruption charges.
Videos showed Netanyahu shaking hands with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Paraguay in the Tel Aviv court.
Lapid in a post on platform X said "Instead of bringing the Speaker of Parliament of Paraguay to Nir Oz (a settlement adjacent to the Gaza Strip attacked on October 7), they brought him to the court session. This is disgraceful."
He added "When I said that Ohana is the head of half the Knesset, he felt insulted, and this is exactly what it means to be the president of half the Knesset. Why involve him (Latorre) in the prime minister's trial."
Lapid continued that "Netanyahu has become a stain on Israel around the world."
