Australian Police Sydney Attack Perpetrators Were Father and Son

Khaberni - The New South Wales Police in Australia stated in a statement on Sunday evening that the two gunmen in the shooting incident in Australia were a father and his son, aged 50 and 24 respectively.

The police said that the father was killed by the police while the son is still in the hospital, and the police confirmed that they are not looking for a third criminal.

The Australian police mentioned that two explosive devices were found at the site of the terrorist attack in Sydney.

Earlier, the New South Wales Police announced that the number of victims of the shooting at Bondi Beach had risen to 16 dead, while 38 people are still receiving treatment in the hospital.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) reported that "the toll of victims of the terrorist attack on Bondi Beach in Sydney has risen to 16 dead, including one of the suspected attackers."

The Australian authorities revealed the identity of one of the suspects involved in the Bondi Beach attack that shocked the country and resulted in dozens of victims during a celebration for the Jewish community on the Hanukkah holiday, stating that his name is Navid Akram and he is 24 years old, residing in the southwest of Sydney.

So far, no additional details regarding his nationality, affiliation, or possible motives have been provided.

In this context, Channel 14 Hebrew reported on Sunday evening that the second perpetrator of the Bondi Beach attack in the city of Sydney, Australia is Khaled Al-Nablusi, a Lebanese of Palestinian origin, holding Australian nationality.

Furthermore, the New South Wales Police said that the Counter-Terrorism Unit will lead the investigation into the attack in cooperation with the Crime Department.
