Water 1411 water line violations detected during November

Khaberni - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation - Jordan Valley Authority reported that the ongoing governmental efforts to enforce a campaign to control water resources across the kingdom, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior and the Public Security Directorate through its technical and field staff in the Internal Control Unit, the Groundwater Basin Directorate, the Central Workshops Directorate, and water management and companies, continue as part of the economic modernization vision and the water sector strategy aimed at improving water supply efficiency and reducing water loss.
It highlighted that during November 2025, further achievements were made, including the detection and backfilling of 13 illegal wells, the detection of 1411 violations on main water lines, the detection of 4 illegal drilling rigs conducting unauthorized drilling in various areas of the kingdom, and the removal of 11 encroachments on treasury lands in the Jordan Valley and 101 encroachments on the King Abdullah Canal, as well as the detection of 9 illegal water tanks and 9 encroachments on the lands of Samra Ruins.
The total number of controlled lines since the campaign began on June 1, 2013, has reached 122,897 thousand violations on water lines, backfilling of 1683 illegal wells, and the removal of 2886 encroachments on treasury lands in the Jordan Valley, detection and removal of 37,301 thousand encroachments on King Abdullah Canal, Samra Ruins 309, and the collection of 12.603 million dinars from the values due on the illegal wells.
It added that the Jordanian state, with its various aspects including ministries, institutions, and the judiciary, is continuing in the campaign to control the water sources to stop all encroachments on networks and water sources spread across all regions, where the government bears significant financial costs to remove these encroachments and rectify the situations to minimize attacks on water sources with the participation of all official agencies.
