Khaberni - This morning, Sunday, the officer in the Internal Security Agency, Major Ahmed Zamzam, was assassinated due to gunfire executed by armed individuals in the Al-Maghazi camp in the Central Governorate.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a brief press release that the specialized agencies immediately began an investigation into the incident and managed to arrest one of the suspects involved in the assassination operation, while efforts are ongoing to pursue the rest of the involved parties and to uncover the circumstances and motives of the crime.
The incident comes less than 24 hours after the announcement by the Army of Occupation and the General Security Service (Shabak) on Saturday evening, the assassination of the second man in the Al-Qassam Brigades, the leader Raed Saad, in a raid targeting a vehicle on Al-Rashid Street west of Gaza City, in a new escalation of Tel Aviv's breaches of the ceasefire agreement signed with Hamas since October 10, 2025.
