The Jerusalem Governorate warns of settlers attempts to bring animal sacrifices into AlAqsa

Khaberni - The Jerusalem Governorate has warned of attempts by a group of settlers to bring animal sacrifices into the Old City of Jerusalem, in an escalatory move targeting the imposition of new settler religious rites during the Jewish "Passover" festival, amid the ongoing Israeli occupation closing Al-Aqsa Mosque to worshipers for the thirtieth consecutive day.

The governorate stated in a statement this Sunday evening that these attempts represent the peak of using religious rites as a tool for Judaizing Al-Aqsa Mosque, aiming to permanently establish the mosque as a place for the alleged Temple, by offering and slaughtering a lamb or calf within it, forming a moral prelude to the physical establishment of the Temple over the entire area of the mosque according to the Torah concept.

It clarified that "Temple" organizations are exploiting the historic closure of Al-Aqsa to launch intense propaganda campaigns on their official websites, using AI-generated images and clips, to mobilize their extremist audience and forcibly impose the sacrificial rite.

The year 2025 witnessed three unprecedented attempts to bring animal sacrifices into Al-Aqsa Mosque, including two attempts to slaughter the sacrifices after they were brought in, and once bringing in meat stained with blood, which constitutes a planned and systematic escalation to exploit religious rites to impose a new settler reality inside Al-Aqsa and threaten its Islamic identity.

The governorate emphasized that the religious and political goals of these attempts are linked to the doctrine of "incarnation" among the Jewish religious current, where the sacrifice is offered to the "spirit of the Lord" in its alleged location at Al-Aqsa, in an attempt to summon divine intervention to achieve political objectives, including prompting the "Messiah" to descend, which is part of the ideology of the Zionist right-wing and Temple organizations.

The Jerusalem Governorate has warned that the Zionist right-wing has come closer than ever to venturing into sacrificing animals inside Al-Aqsa Mosque, with the upcoming Hebrew Passover between April 2 and 9, stressing that this poses a real danger to the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

It called for urgent action at both local and international levels to stop the attempts to impose animal sacrifices and Judaizing realities in Al-Aqsa, ensuring the protection of holy sites from any attempts to undermine their identity and Islamic status, and to end the closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
