Scientists Global Warming Exacerbates Extreme Weather Phenomena

A recent scientific study has warned that the frequency and severity of sharp fluctuations in temperature are increasing markedly.

The study was conducted by scientists from Nanjing University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Atmospheric Physics, and it revealed that fluctuations have become more frequent and extreme in low and mid-latitude regions, indicating that the main cause is the emission of greenhouse gases resulting from human activities.

Climate forecasts indicate an increase in the frequency of sharp fluctuations by 17% and their overall intensity by 20% by the year 2100, which will affect regions where more than 80% of the world's population lives.

Data on mortality rates in China and the United States reveal a strong link between daily temperature fluctuations and mortality risks, particularly due to cardiovascular and respiratory diseases.

Over the past few years, the phenomenon of global warming has posed a challenge to humanity and a direct threat to the health of the Earth's inhabitants, due to its causing an increase in temperatures, melting of ice, rising sea levels, changing weather patterns, damage to ecosystems, and increased diseases.
