Khaberni - Egyptian artist Mohammed Sobhi has sparked widespread interaction on social media, after his official Facebook page published a post stating: "Despite all the fresh water that the sky pours into the sea, it remains salty.. Do not exhaust yourself, some people do not change no matter how hard you try." This was considered by followers as an indirect comment on the circulating video clip, in which Sobhi appeared emotional towards a person believed to be his personal driver.
A scene spread showing artist Mohammed Sobhi scolding his driver amidst the crowd, while exiting the Egyptian Opera House, after being honored at the end of the eleventh session of the "Theatrical Horizons" festival, surrounded by attendees eager to take photos, a scene that angered him.
The clip, which lasted only seconds, topped social media, dividing commentators between those who saw his outburst as natural due to the crowd and mental pressure, and others who thought it was exaggerated and unbefitting his stature.
According to people close to the artist, Sobhi recently suffered a health issue that required him to be admitted to intensive care, before leaving the hospital a few days later, which made standing for a long time waiting for the driver exhausting.
Sobhi also faced hassles from some attendees who gathered around and aimed their phone cameras directly at his face, wanting to film him without considering his health situation, which increased his tension at that moment.
