Khaberni - Engineer Raed Abu Al-Saud signed today, Monday 8/12/2025, in his office at the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, agreements for the implementation of sewage projects in southwest Amman, phase one and two, with the chairman of the board of the Arab Contractors Company, Engineer Ahmed Al-Assar and board member Engineer Ahmed Al-Adlani, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Water Authority Engineer Sofyan Al-Batayneh, the Assistant for Sanitary Affairs Engineer Ghada Safa, the Assistant for Tenders Engineer Najwa Arabi, and several representatives of the water sector, towards realizing the vision of economic reform and strategic plans for water 2023-2040 as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to elevate and improve the services provided to citizens serving areas in west Amman at a total value of about 18,450 million dinars funded by the German Development Bank kfw.

The Minister of Water and Irrigation indicated that the government, through the Ministry/Water Authority, is accelerating its efforts to implement a package of vital projects aimed at providing the service to the citizens at the best levels, stating that the first and second phases will include the implementation of sewage networks to serve parts of Marj Al Hamam and Naour district in southwest Amman areas with diameters ranging from 300-600 mm and a length of 32 kilometers, as well as the implementation of 5 kilometers of household connections and the rehabilitation of 2 kilometers of the Wadi Al Seer transmission line to improve the sewage services in the areas of southwest Amman and enhance the environmental level in line with the goals of sustainable development, pointing out that the areas covered by the first and second phases are most of the Naour basins, confirming that the ministry is striving hard to cover most areas in the kingdom with sewage services.

The minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Ministry of Water and Irrigation/Water Authority for the continuous support from international partners, especially the German Development Bank kfw, as well as the Arab Contractors Company for its efforts in implementing service and quality projects in the kingdom.

A video was shown highlighting the most important projects implemented by the company globally and projects implemented in Jordan since the year 1966.
