Khaberni - The meteorologists at the "Arab Weather" center reported that the latest satellite images indicate a rotational movement and winding of the cold basin in the high atmospheric layers.

This cold basin is now centered over the waters of the eastern Mediterranean basin, leading to the formation of a low-pressure system that has begun to affect the coasts of the Levant, especially Syria and Lebanon, in addition to the northern coasts of Egypt.

Computer simulation maps of the movements of the low-pressure system indicate that it will remain over the sea on Tuesday 12/9/2025, with its center south of the island of Cyprus. Its effects will continue to be confined to the coasts of the Levant, thus its position does not allow the effects and crossing of rainy clouds to reach the atmosphere of the Kingdom.

However, the computer maps indicate a change in the center of the low-pressure system by the end of the week, allowing the Kingdom to be affected by this weather system. Thus, it could be assigned a classification on the scale of weather depressions in the upcoming updates.

God willing, on Wednesday 12/10/2025, the Kingdom is expected to be affected by the onset of the low-pressure system in the form of unstable weather conditions, especially in the afternoon.

Where temperatures drop and cold weather prevails, clouds multiply, and chances arise for showers of rain in several areas. These showers can be heavy in some areas and may be accompanied by thunder.

On Thursday, the Kingdom will gradually be affected by a low-pressure system that will be classified later, as cold weather prevails and gradually turns to cloudy with rainfall in various areas, especially the northern and central regions.

These rains can sometimes be heavy, leading to the flow of valleys, the formation of floods, and the occurrence of water accumulations on the roads. The rains are accompanied by low clouds touching the ground, leading to dense fog formation over high mountainous elevations.

During Friday, the flow of cold and moist air currents from the Mediterranean Sea continues. The weather remains cold with clouds appearing at different altitudes, and the chance of rain remains, especially during the morning.
