Khaberni - The Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Sami Samirat, confirmed that the military service inquiry platform received more than a million visits in less than an hour, where visitors searched and inquired through the platform.

Samirat added in television statements for Al-Mamlaka channel that one thousand out of 6,000 people chosen for military service have verified through their national numbers via the platform.

The Minister of Digital Economy pointed out that the platform performed excellently, confirming that the deferment service for those who meet the conditions and terms according to the law will be launched on Tuesday.

Samirat explained that the platform was completely developed with local capabilities by Jordanian youth, who designed it from scratch and conducted all quality and security tests, in cooperation with the National Cybersecurity Center to ensure data protection and platform security.

The digital lottery for the youth born in 2007 to select 6,000 conscripts for the upcoming year's military service, divided into three batches, each consisting of 2,000 conscripts, was conducted at the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship on Monday.

The Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Engineer Sami Samirat, explained that the lottery conducted by a specialized technical committee was performed using a precise and strict statistical algorithm, after comprehensive information security checks, ensuring fair distribution across provinces and protecting the data of the conscripts.

He explained that the mechanism for notifying the conscripts about the service is carried out via the military service platform khidmetalam.gov.jo, the "Sanad" app, and SMS messages, inviting the youth born in 2007 to review the platform and read the instructions and scheduled dates for the upcoming phase.

Samirat emphasized that the data of those selected for military service are electronically and physically protected and will be sent to the armed forces after the technical committee signs the session record, which includes representatives from the Ministry of Digital Economy, the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army, and the Department of Civil Status and Passports.

The government spokesperson, Minister of Government Communication Mohammad Al-Momani, stated that conducting the electronic lottery adheres to the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, to carry out a transparent and fair selection process using precise computerized systems, with no exceptions.

Al-Momani mentioned that the military and reserve service law has completed all its constitutional stages, has been officially published in the Official Gazette, and the legal instructions for its implementation have been issued.

He said that the program aims to enhance national identity and discipline, and prepare more aware youth capable of protecting achievements and contributing to national development.

Regarding exemption cases, Al-Momani pointed out that the program does not exclude anyone who meets the conscription conditions; however, the law specifies clear exemption cases, such as being an only child or those who are proven medically unfit by medical committees.

The head of the military and reserve service branch in the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army, Colonel Ziad Khwaldeh, explained the upcoming recruitment and enlistment phases, including the dates and execution procedures for the batches.

Khwaldeh mentioned that the medical examinations for the first batch will be conducted from December 17 to 23, 2025, at four medical centers distributed over the three regions; at Prince Rashid Military Hospital in Irbid for the Northern region, at the Military Recruitment Center in Khaw for the Central region, at Prince Hashem Hospital in Aqaba for the Aqaba and Ma'an provinces, and at Prince Ali Hospital in Karak for the Karak and Tafilah provinces.

He said that the recruitment procedures will be implemented at the Military Recruitment Center in "Khaw" from January 11 to January 22, 2026, and the recruits will join the training centers on January 31, 2026, by military transport buses, with the course for the first batch starting on the morning of the first day of February 2026.

He noted that the training centers are equipped with a medical center, a surveillance camera system, and a control room operating around the clock, in addition to enabling the recruits to regularly contact their families through the military training center phones and in emergencies, noting that personal phones will not be allowed into the training camps.

Khwaldeh mentioned that a medical treatment card from the Royal Medical Services will be issued covering the primary beneficiary throughout the service duration.

He concluded by saying that the conscripts will be allowed to leave after the first four weeks of service, and then they can leave at the end of each week for 48 hours, provided they rejoin the center on Saturday evening.

It was confirmed during the meeting that the deferment platform will be available, 24 hours after the selection in the lottery for those born in 2007, who meet the deferment conditions, including: students on the annual study system like medicine and pharmacy, regular school students, or for residents abroad, provided they join the service as soon as the reason for deferment ceases.

It is worth mentioning that the electronic lottery and signing of the session record were conducted in the presence of the ministers of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Interior, Government Communication, and the head of the National Cybersecurity Center.
