Khaberni - The Director of Water Administration for Jerash Province, Marwan Al-Ayasrah, revealed on Monday that several projects will be executed next year in the province with a value close to 17 million dinars, including the construction of water tanks and the maintenance, replacement, and extension of water lines.
Al-Ayasrah added that the projects include the construction of a collective tank in Sakib town within Al Mu'arraj Loigha for 1.5 million dinars, and the extension of the Sov-Sakib transmission line for 1.5 million dinars, noting that the Ain Al-Qayrawan tender was issued for 1.5 million Dinars.
Al-Ayasrah explained that the maintenance and rehabilitation project of Ain Al-Qayrawan will begin next month, clarifying that the rehabilitation and maintenance of Ain Al-Deek have been contracted for 1.355 million dinars, along with a water network rehabilitation and maintenance project inside Jerash Qasbah for 4 million dinars.
Al-Ayasrah pointed out that the final designs have been prepared for the rehabilitation and maintenance of the water network of Al Mu'arraj Loigha for 7 million dinars, with the project expected to be implemented by the middle of next year.
In turn, the Director of Maintenance and Operation, Mohammad Al-Atoum, said that the projects to be implemented will contribute to reducing the loss rate, which reached about 51%, and curbing violations against the network, which will reflect on reducing water rotation days and improving water pumping.
Al-Atoum added that these projects will also work to reduce maintenance costs, rehabilitate water networks in several areas within the province, indicating that the Faisal and Dibbin wells have been rehabilitated, and new locations have been determined for drilling water wells.
