Khaberni - Mahmoud Al-Hayasat, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, said that the ministry delegates education directors in all provinces of the kingdom to make the appropriate decision regarding the schools' attendance during the weather conditions experienced by the kingdom, in coordination with the administrative governors.
Al-Hayasat added that this decision is a continuation of the ministry's approach over the past years and comes to maintain the safety of students and the administrative and teaching staff at schools.
He pointed out that the school trips season had ended in mid-November last year, affirming that no school trips would be organized after this date.
He explained that the ministry had previously taken all necessary preparations and readiness to welcome the winter season, ensuring that the necessary precautions are in place to provide a safe school environment and public safety requirements, and carrying out necessary maintenance, focusing on the safety of students and teachers. This includes inspecting water drainage locations on the roofs and courtyards of schools, windows and doors of classrooms, checking the main and external gates, and ensuring the readiness and validity of fire extinguishers to achieve general safety inside classrooms and around the school area.
