Khaberni - Today, Dr. Khaled Al-Salem, the President of the University of Science and Technology, discussed ways to expand academic and research cooperation with a delegation from the American University of Nebraska–Lincoln, which included a number of academics and representatives of specialized scientific sectors, as part of a visit aimed at developing international partnerships and enhancing engineering and technical programs.
In the margins of the visit, the College of Engineering at the University of Science and Technology and the College of Engineering at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln signed an agreement to enhance international cooperation by establishing a joint PhD program in civil engineering.
The agreement was signed by the Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Dr. Lance C. Pérez, and the Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Science and Technology, Dr. Duraid Dalalah.
During a field tour, the delegation visited a number of university facilities, including the engineering college laboratories, research programs, and technological initiatives, expressing their admiration for the advanced level and international reputation of the University of Science and Technology. The delegation members affirmed their aspiration to enhance academic and research partnerships and launch scientific and engineering projects that contribute to supporting innovation and technological development.
The meeting was attended by the Vice President of the University, Professor Dr. Mona Abu Dalu, the Dean of the Engineering College, Professor Dr. Duraid Dalalah, the Director of International Relations at the University, Professor Dr. Samer Al-Bashir, and the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Dr. Wasim Barham.
