Khaberni - The College of Nursing at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan organized a health event on the occasion of World Diabetes Day, with the participation of the University's Vice President, Professor Dr. Tareq Al-Qurum, and the College Dean Dr. Hassan Abu Al-Ruz. The event was part of the College’s efforts to enhance health awareness and promote a culture of prevention among students and the local community.
The event included a variety of activities and medical services, including: diabetes screening, blood tests, vision testing, body composition measurement, bone density testing, nutritional consultations, and blood pressure measurement, along with activities for health education and the distribution of brochures and educational panels about diabetes and its prevention methods.
A number of local institutions participated in the event, including the Arab Engineers Company for Medical Devices, Alpha Laboratories, Orbtkos Luxus Laboratories, and Al-Qarar Health Consulting Clinics for nutritional consultations, which contributed to diversifying the provided services and enhancing the health impact of the initiative.
The Dean of the College affirmed that this event is in line with its mission to enhance partnerships with local community institutions and to carry out quality activities that contribute to serving the community and raising health awareness among students.
