Khaberni - Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince, the College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University participated in the Conference and Exhibition on Progress, Innovation, and Technology in Cybersecurity (C8 2025), organized by the National Cybersecurity Center, the Jordanian Center for Design and Development (JODDB), and Sofex Jordan, and took place at the King Hussein bin Talal Convention Center – Dead Sea.

Representing Amman Arab University at the conference were: Dr. Rami Sahweil, Dean of the College of Information Technology; Dr. Kamal Alian, Assistant Dean; Dr. Afaf Udinat; and Dr. Hana Abu Hashem, faculty members of the college, with wide participation from experts, specialists, and national and international entities working in the field of cybersecurity.

The conference aimed to discuss the latest developments and challenges in the fields of electronic protection and cybersecurity defense, and included a range of specialized activities, notably: the "Dot Cyber" summit for cybersecurity, the "Armithon" contest designated for armies and security agencies, and the artificial intelligence conference exhibition in defense and cybersecurity technologies, in addition to practical simulation sessions and a live hacking contest.

On this occasion, Dr. Sahweil emphasized the importance of active participation of faculty members and students in these scientific conferences, as they represent an opportunity to keep up with the latest developments and practices in the field of cybersecurity. He noted that these events contribute to enhancing the capabilities of academic staff and students in facing the escalating cybersecurity challenges, and enable them to exchange experiences with experts and specialists locally and internationally, thereby enhancing the university's role in supporting innovation and building a qualified generation capable of keeping up with modern technologies in the field of digital security.

The participation of Amman Arab University in this event stems from its commitment to enhance its academic presence in advanced technical fields, support its students and faculty members in keeping up with developments in cybersecurity and modern defensive technologies, which contributes to developing their skills and expanding their knowledge horizons, and keeping pace with the rapid developments in this vital sector.
