A 15-year-old child was fiercely attacked by four stray dogs in the Subha area, part of North Badia in Mafraq Governorate, which resulted in him sustaining multiple wounds in various parts of his body.
According to eyewitnesses speaking to "Khaberni," the dogs suddenly ambushed the child while he was passing through the area and attacked him fiercely, dragging him towards the main street before several citizens intervened, rescuing him and driving the dogs away.
According to sources, the child suffered several bites and bruises to his face and body and was immediately transported to receive necessary medical care, where he is still undergoing treatment to this moment.
The locals expressed their anger and dissatisfaction with the ongoing danger of stray dogs, describing what they see as a "neglect by the relevant authorities" in addressing this phenomenon, despite repeated complaints and similar incidents that have resulted in serious injuries and deaths over the past years.
The citizens emphasized the urgent need for official authorities to act to protect children and citizens from the danger of stray dogs prevalent in residential areas, especially in peripheral and rural areas.
