Khaberni - Major General Yousef Al-Hunaiti, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, met on Thursday with Lieutenant General Khaled Draj Al-Shariean, Chief of General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, at the headquarters of the Kuwaiti Army's General Staff.
A military reception was held for Major General Al-Hunaiti, where he reviewed the honor guard that lined up to greet him.
During the meeting, both parties discussed ways to enhance military and defense cooperation relations between the Jordanian Armed Forces and the Kuwaiti Armed Forces, in addition to increasing the level of joint coordination to face current regional challenges.
Major General Al-Hunaiti emphasized the importance of developing the strategic partnership to achieve the shared visions and aspirations, praising the level of bilateral relations that bind the leadership of the two countries and their role in supporting efforts towards regional security and stability.
For his part, Lieutenant General Al-Shariean expressed the Kuwaiti Army's keenness to expand military cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces, particularly in developing defense capabilities and enhancing joint coordination.
Major General Al-Hunaiti also visited the Mubarak Al-Abdullah Joint Command and Staff College, where he was briefed on the academic programs offered by the college, its role in preparing and qualifying military leaders, including its academic and training programs aimed at developing leadership skills and enhancing operational efficiency for officers.
The visit was attended by the Jordanian Ambassador and the Military Attaché in Kuwait along with several members of the Kuwaiti Military Defense Council, and several senior officers from the armed forces of both the Jordanian and Kuwaiti armies.
