Khaberni - The acting general manager of the Civil Consumer Corporation, Issam Al-Jarrah, said that the institution was established to alleviate the burdens on citizens, confirming that its revenues are self-generated.
Al-Jarrah added, during the meeting of the Financial Committee in the House of Representatives on Tuesday to discuss the institution's budget, that the institution provides goods at fair prices to citizens and contributes to development through 70 markets spread across various provinces.
Al-Jarrah pointed out that all the materials and items provided by the institution are inspected by the General Corporation for Food and Drug, clarifying that the institution has investment agreements worth 28 million dinars.
Al-Jarrah explained that 93% of the buildings of the corporation’s markets are rented, indicating that the total annual rental value of these buildings is about one million dinars.
