Meteorology warns Jordanians of Tuesdays weather

Khaberni - Jordanian Meteorological Administration director, Raeed Ra'ed Khattab, said that the Kingdom today, Tuesday, will be under the influence of an unsettled weather condition.

It is expected, God willing, that rain showers will occur in scattered places across the Kingdom, and may become heavy at times in certain areas, leading to the formation of floods in valleys and low-lying areas, including the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, with the possibility of thunder and hail in some areas, accompanied by a drop in temperatures making the weather feel relatively cold.

He explained that the weather, God willing, will stabilize during the evening and night hours, and the chance of rain will decrease with fog forming over mountainous areas, generally leading to cold weather.

Khattab emphasized the need to be cautious and to take the issued warnings seriously in order to maintain safety, specifically from:

- Reduced horizontal visibility in the morning and night hours due to fog over high mountainous regions and parts of the plains.

- Staying away from flood channels and rainwater accumulation areas in valleys and low-lying areas, including the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.

- Reduced horizontal visibility due to dust raised by descending winds, particularly in desert areas.

- Drivers must be cautious of the risk of slipping on roads during rainfall.

He mentioned that the winds will be moderate northwesterly, occasionally becoming active and stirring up dust.

The weather will gradually stabilize during the evening and night hours, with decreased chances of precipitation, and fog will form over the mountains on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
