Al Kindi Hospital participated in the Fifth International Conference of the Jordanian Society for Bariatric Surgery, which was held in collaboration with the International Obesity Club and inaugurated under the patronage of the Minister of Health, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badour, with the presence of the head of the Medical Association, Dr. Issa Khushashneh, and guests from inside and outside the kingdom, and lasted for two days at the Sheraton Hotel in the capital Amman.
Al Kindi Hospital’s participation in this conference was through its distinguished exhibition booth, which was set up on the sidelines of the conference. It received great appreciation and marked a significant shift through the services it provides; this participation comes within the hospital’s strategic plan to support the local community and enhance scientific and medical activities and events.
The hospital treats patients from 75 countries worldwide, and hosts a bariatric surgery center, which is the first and only of its kind in the kingdom, and the first in the Arab region, accredited internationally by the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity.
It is worth noting that Al Kindi Hospital is a private hospital that includes all medical specialties and specialized centers in bariatric surgery, cosmetic surgery, liposuction, vascular surgery, a fertility center, lithotripsy, interventional radiology, cancer detection (breast cancer), organ transplantation surgeries, catheters and open heart surgeries, a gastrointestinal and biliary endoscopy unit, as well as a special department for emergency and ambulance services with the latest equipment and modern ambulances.
