Khaberni - The national football team drew goalless with its Malian counterpart in the friendly match held this evening, Tuesday, November 18, at the Radès Olympic Stadium in Tunisia, in preparation for participating in the FIFA Arab Cup 2025, and the 2026 World Cup finals.
The team was represented in the match by: Yazid Abu Layla, Mohammad Abu Nadil (Hossam Abu Zahab), Yazan Al-Arab, Abdullah Naseeb, Mohammad Abu Hishish (Ali Hjazi), Rajai Ayed, Noor Al-Rawabdeh (Nizar Al-Rashdan), Adham Al-Quraishi (Assam Al-Samiri), Ahmad Arsan (Mousa Tamari), Tamer Bani Odeh (Ali Azayizeh), and Yazan Al-Naimat.
The proceedings of the match were balanced between the two sides, with an exchange of control and pressure on playing areas. The Nashama displayed a good performance throughout both halves of the match, creating a number of offensive attempts, which were met with a cohesive defensive effort that maintained a clean sheet until the end.
The national team's delegation is expected to return tomorrow evening, Wednesday, to Amman, concluding the training camp held in Tunisia.
The Jordanian Football Association aims, through providing training camps and friendly matches for the national team, to achieve the highest levels of preparation and support for the Nashama, in readiness for participation in the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 in Qatar, and the 2026 World Cup competitions in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
It is worth noting that the Jordanian team secured its qualification to the 2026 World Cup finals for the first time in its history, thus becoming the first Arab team to secure its place in the World Cup.
