Khaberni - The technical director of the Jordanian national team, Jamal Salami, expressed his satisfaction with the 2026 World Cup draw that took place on Friday, confirming that the Nashama's group is “good” compared to other tougher groups.

Speaking on Al Mamlaka TV, he said that facing Argentina, the world champions and their star Lionel Messi, will be "a great motivation" for the players. The Austrian team is known for its "German mindset," discipline, organization, and physical dynamism, along with tactical strength. He confirmed working on preparing well for this match. Meanwhile, the Algerian team is "a distinctive team that includes a group of stars."

Salami stated that the experience would be beneficial for Jordanian football and would open a new door for Jordanian football,” expressing his hope for the Jordanian team's continued presence in future international competitions.

He considered participation in the World Cup a chance to showcase Jordanian talent to a global audience and open wide prospects for young talents.

 Salami called on the Jordanian fans in the United States and Canada to support the Nashama in the World Cup, and he hoped for support from the Moroccan fans for the Jordanian team.

Salami confirmed that the national team players understand the importance of tomorrow's match against the Kuwaiti team as part of the Arab Cup 2025 competition, downplaying any impact of the 2026 World Cup draw on the players.

He mentioned that there is time to discuss the draw and that tomorrow's match is important, the opponent is strong and readiness is very important to achieve a positive result.

Salami emphasized the readiness of the Jordanian national football team to face the Kuwaiti team in the Arab Cup 2025 competition.
