Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality has called on citizens to pay their financial dues and benefit from a package of facilitations and discounts granted on building and land tax (roofed), education tax, and sewage contribution fees within the limits of the municipality, before the end of 31/12/2025, based on a decision from the Cabinet.
The Municipality explained that the facilitations include a 20% discount on building and land tax, education tax, and sewage contribution fees for the current year and previous years when the full amounts due are paid before the end of the year, in addition to a full exemption from penalties for these taxes for previous years upon full payment.
The facilitations also offer the possibility of installment payments of taxes and fees until 31/12/2025, and the retroactive benefits from discounts for those who have paid since the beginning of the year until the date of the decision, with the discount credited for the next year.
The package includes a 25% discount on verification fees, profits and compensations, and a similar discount on street waste charges with the possibility of installment payments. Tenants of municipal properties also receive a 25% discount on their due rents when paid before the end of the year, with the possibility of renting and profit installment payments until 31/12/2025.
The Municipality also announced an increase in the incentive discount for the year 2026 to become 10% instead of 8% for taxpayers who comply with the building and land tax within the first two months of the coming year.
