Khaberni - Dozens of Indian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia were killed as a result of a horrific accident when their bus collided with an oil tanker truck in Medina this Monday morning.

Reports on Monday indicate that about 40 Indian pilgrims were on the bus involved in the accident, which occurred around 1:30 AM Indian time.

The Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar expressed his shock at the accident, confirming that his country's embassy in Riyadh and consulate in Jeddah are providing all necessary support to the affected and their families.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also offered his condolences to the families of the victims and called for a speedy recovery for the injured, noting that Indian officials are in communication with the Saudi authorities.

The Indian consulate in Jeddah has set up an operations room to coordinate aid efforts following the tragic accident.
