3 Magical Additions to Your Morning Drink

Khaberni - Dr. Nicholas Perricone, a dermatologist and renowned nutrition expert who is 77 years old and very popular among stars like Jennifer Lopez and Kate Hudson, revealed the morning "ritual" he relies on to boost energy, slim the body, and prolong life.

In a statement to the "New York Post," Perricone said: "I have always believed that simple and regular habits lead to effective results," affirming that his morning routine is not a quick fix, but a daily practice "that nourishes the body and mind over decades."
Green Tea: The Calm Before the Storm

The routine revolves around a cup of green tea, which Perricone sees as powerful on its own. He explains that green tea provides steady, calm energy without the tension associated with coffee, thanks to the amino acid L-theanine, which enhances focus and cognitive functions.

Green tea is also rich in antioxidants, specifically catechins, which help protect cells and reduce oxidative stress, linked to a lower risk of chronic diseases and improvements in insulin sensitivity and metabolism activation for fat loss.

The Three Ingredients of the "Beauty Molecule"

In addition to green tea, Perricone adds three simple and effective ingredients, mentioned in his new book "The Beauty Molecule: Introducing Neuroceuticals, the Breakthrough for Eternal Youthful Beauty":

Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs C8): Perricone adds a sprinkle of MCTs (found in coconut oil and palm kernel), which digest quickly and convert directly into energy "fueling the brain." These fats also help in weight management and gut health.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil: A teaspoon of olive oil, which Perricone says activates sirtuin genes responsible for cell repair, renewal, and longevity. Olive oil is also linked to improved heart health, digestion, and cognitive functions.
Cinnamon: A quarter teaspoon of ground cinnamon, which plays a vital role in stabilizing blood sugar levels and reducing inflammation, in addition to improving memory and supporting the immune system.
Perricone concludes his talk: "It's a simple ritual, but it prepares an atmosphere of focus and balance, and apart from science, it has become a moment of reflection... a reminder that taking care of ourselves can be both effective and enjoyable at the same time."
